About Jessie

Hi, I'm Jessie Wetzel — a proud Woburn mom of three, a teacher, a U.S. Army veteran, and a dedicated advocate for public education.

As an educator with a Master’s in Teaching from UMass Boston and a specialist in teaching students with visual impairments, I’ve spent my career making sure every child has a chance to thrive. I bring that same commitment to my service on the Woburn School Committee, where I’ve worked to expand access to early childhood education, support students with special needs, and build trust between families, educators, and school leaders.

During my time on the committee, I’ve prioritized transparency, equity, and full funding for our schools. I believe that education is a civil right — and that our policies must reflect that at every level.

As we look ahead to the next chapter for Woburn Public Schools, I’m running for re-election to continue delivering thoughtful, community-driven leadership. Whether it’s through redistricting, facility planning, or championing grant funding, I’ll always put Woburn’s kids and families first.

Let’s keep building a school system that works for all of us — together.
